Signs of Preeclampsia with Twins (Say What?)

Oh, our friends. We love you! And even more, we love the unique journeys that each one of us has with each birth we go through! Whether with singletons or twins, whether you first born or your fourteenth, every birth story will be different. It’s actually kind of mind boggling if you think about it!

Erin’s birth story was preempted by preeclampsia (a big fancy name for “mama’s blood pressure is too high for her own good brought on by those amazing boys in her belly.”). It is actually a story that balances gently the mother’s health with the health of those two beautiful lives she and Jeff have been praying over for 35 L-O-N-G weeks, and even longer while trying to conceive.

And this is where we have to say “KUDOS” to her amazingly phenomenal ob/gyn that she switched to mid-pregnancy. (If you have no idea what we’re referring to scroll down our YouTube ramblings until you see anything with an “ob/gyn” in the title!) It’s doctors like him, and anybody else who is worth their “salt” in the medical field, who are able to recognize early signs of struggle, either with the babies or the mother, take action, and in Erin’s case, get those baby boys out of there! Within 2 hours, Erin and Jeff officially became parents delivering by c-section!

Join Erin and Rebecca as let’s be honest, Erin shares all her know-how about preeclampsia, what she experienced, what her doctor did for her, and what she experienced regarding preeclampsia even after giving birth.

And we know you are all smart ladies who are watching this, but just remember, this is a non-medical video about ONE precious lady’s experience with preeclampsia. Please consult with your ob/gyn about any concerns you may have about your health or your pregnancy. You get it! We just know with pregnancy brain, sometimes we all forget. 😉
