Does Spontaneity Die When You Give Birth?

Sometimes we want a guarantee that even though we’re embarking on this amazing journey of motherhood, our lives won’t “really” change. Yep! We’re lame…and even more so, the expectation is lame, but let’s just say that we all (yes, a total stereotype of humanity) struggle with transition. Letting the “old” life go and moving on to a “new, and maybe even better,” life. And when you have 9 months to contemplate the impending death of your old life, and not knowing what this new life of motherhood will bring, it can cause you to spin like a crazy tornado, put your head in the sand like an ostrich, or just cry…well, like you do now anyway because of hormones!

What happens to spontaneity? If you’re a spontaneous person, living for the unplanned adventure, the never-ending road trip with nothing but the clothes on your back, does having babies, twins in Erin’s case, mean you have to give up that part of you that loves what’s around the next bend in the road?

Well, we have good news and bad news. We know. STINK! But we do. Yes, you can be spontaneous…with a little planning. WHAT?? Is that an oxymoron? Nope. But you’ll have to watch to find out why.

We’ll even tackle the topic of what happens when those outside of your home are spontaneous and want to invade your homes without notice ? How do you handle that scenario?? (Our rule: unless you’re literally dropping off a full-fledged meal and immediately leaving, or bringing a Publisher’s Clearing House check for a million dollars, don’t bother stopping by without our knowledge!!)

Join Erin and Rebecca as they discuss why not to kill “spontaneity” entirely, but to maybe give him a make-over…make him look different, but still celebrate the same concept!
